My booking.com confirmation states non-refundable.

I haven't actually checked Joe, as I mentioned earlier, we are staying on for Folembray, I think our Eurotunnel ticket is also non-refundable so we will just go anyway and have a trundle round the area if Spa isn't sorted. PS Just hope the bl**dy weather picks up a bit.

Having spoken to the circuit management this evening, they have still not made a decision on the feasibility of repairing the circuit before this weekends BaT track days. Further news is expected around 9:00 GMT tomorrow (Tuesday 23rd March 2010).

Doesnt help us much though.

Likewise. Just means I can get proper p!ssed and not worry about hangovers and tracking. Good excuse to go and have a watch at the 'ring and a little blat around the Eifel mountains.

It is with great disappointment that we have to announce the cancellation of both our track days at Spa-Francorchamps this coming weekend 27th & 28th March 2010. The circuit is damaged sufficiently that repairs (temporary or otherwise) are simply not possible in time for this event to take place.

Drivers with a confirmed booking will receive a credit note for the full amount paid (including any optional extras such as tuition or garages) which can be applied against any other BaT event. Credit is valid for 12 months from Monday 29th March 2010 (thus including the option of the same Spa weekend in 2011). All hotel rooms booked via the BaT website will be refunded within 48 hours.

Please be aware that the BaT team leave for Europe this afternoon (Tuesday) and that contact will only be possible via email until our return on Monday 29th March 2010.

Apologies again for what can only be described as a disatrous situation for all concerned.

HI All Hopefully you all received my email yesterday with regard to the tunnel collapse on Sunday at Spa. I’ve literally just come off the phone with the circuit manager and they have had another meeting this morning and have no choice but to close the circuit until further notice. This unfortunately means that our day there on 1st April is CANCELLED. I have been told the circuit will issue a statement for customers/competitors etc at lunch time today. Once I receive this I will forward a copy with details of what we plan to do about credits/refunds. We did start to talk to other circuits about availability yesterday and will continue this morning but it’s unlikely we will find a replacement day. Those who have booked Ferry’s and are not coming on the Easter Frolic are advised to cancel their bookings ASAP – depending on how you booked our experience has been that ferry companies refund or at worst case issue a replacement crossing. Hotels should also be cancelled ASAP. I will send another email as soon as I have the statement from the circuit and know how we arrange credits/refunds or if there is a chance of a replacement day. Worst comes to worst there is an evening session on at the 'ring on the 1st which is about an hour away from Spa.

well this is it, we only had til midnight last night to cancel our hotels so if we cancel now many of us will have to pay full whack anyway. I'd still like to go if others just fancy going for a jolly. Steve suggested an evening session at the ring, there might be other stuff we can do too?

I have the Eurotunnel booking that can't be cancelled , but I can cancel the hotel for the one night. TBH, I still quite fancy a short trip with the start of British summer time. My return tunnel is 20:50, 01-Apr
